What is CITB SMSTS Training?
The CITB Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) is designed for site managers and those with responsibility for planning, organising, monitoring and controlling construction work.
The course covers key legislation affecting health, safety, welfare and environmental management in construction. It emphasises the importance of risk assessment, control measures and effective communication to support safe, well-managed sites.
The SMSTS Refresher allows managers to re-qualify their SMSTS in two days rather than repeating the full five-day course, making it the preferred requalification option for most employers.
