What is CITB SSSTS (Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme)?
The CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is designed for those who have, or are about to take on, supervisory responsibilities on construction sites.
The course provides supervisors with a clear understanding of their legal responsibilities for health, safety, welfare and environmental issues. It focuses on risk assessment, implementing control measures and effective communication to help maintain a positive health and safety culture on site.
The SSSTS Refresher (SSSTS-R) is a condensed one-day course for those who already hold a valid SSSTS certificate. It covers the same core content as the full course and is the preferred requalification route for most employers.
